A few weeks ago, a co-worker of mine was talking about their other job. It is at an organization in Fargo that focuses on, among other things, human trafficking. This is an area that I have felt passionate about for a while, but like so many, I feel less informed than I would like to be. They put me in touch with a co-worker of theirs who was able to give me more information about human trafficking in our area and what signs to look for. As I wrote this song, I asked for feedback on the lyrics. I am always so grateful for people who are willing to share their knowledge and time with me.
